About Lore Breitmeyer Jones
Lore Breitmeyer Jones lives in The Woodlands, Texas. She graduated from McCullough High School and attended Georgetown University where she earned a Bachelors degree with a concentration in Economics and a specialization in East Europe/Russian Relations. While a Junior at Georgetown she was elected CEO of the Students of Georgetown, Inc. a completely student run 501c3 employing over 150 students at various shops and services. Her Senior year at GU the Berlin Wall came down and the iron curtain fell so she took her newly honed business and entrepreneurial skills to Prague, Czech Republic where she opened an American style restaurant and store. In her 17 years running small businesses in Prague, she was asked to serve on various boards including Civic Concepts International which ran the International Youth Leadership Conferences in Prague, Dubai and South Africa. She also served on the Parish Council at St. Thomas, Prague's English speaking Catholic Community.
After the Financial Crisis of 2008-2009, Mrs. Breitmeyer Jones closed her businesses and moved home to The Woodlands. Her daughter graduated from College Park High School before attending Boston University. As a mother her highest priority was the education of her daughter. She could not be more proud of her daughter who earned a bachelors and Masters in Public Health and now works as an epidemiologist in Boston.
Since returning to Montgomery County Mrs. Breitmeyer Jones has been active in local politics. Since 2016 she has served as Democratic Precinct Chair of Precinct 32 in Grogan's Mill Village. She was elected to serve on the Montgomery County Democratic Party's Senior Advisory Council as the representative for Commissioner Precinct 3. In January of 2018 she was elected by the County Executive Committee to fill a mid year vacancy as Deputy Chair of the Montgomery County Democratic Party. She was reelected Deputy Chair for a two year term in June of 2018.
